Innoptus wins Sasol Solar Challenge
The Innoptus Solar Team took first prize in the Sasol Solar Challenge in South Africa last Friday.
After a nerve-wracking eight-day race under the South African sun, the Innoptus Solar Team reached the finish line first after 4,000 kilometres with a hefty lead of tens of kilometers ahead of their rival from Twente (NL).
Throughout the year, we worked with the Innoptus Solar Team, including implementing Digi_tags for parts inventory. 10 days ago, the race began.
Thanks to innovations such as battery cooling to keep the battery at an optimal temperature when climbing mountain passes and a rotating fin to sail on the Kalahari Desert crosswinds, the Infinite crossed the finish line in Cape Town first after 8 days with over 60 kilometres ahead of the team from Twente (NL).HUGE CONGRATULATIONS from everyone at Vinçotte. 🏆
And as icing on the cake, the team also won gold in the European Solar Challenge in Belgium this weekend with the previous version of the solar car.
