EN 1090 Factory Production Control (FPC)

With effect from 1st July 2014, it is mandatory for you to comply with specific legal obligations applicable to all steel and aluminium construction products that you introduce into the market. The legal requirements for steel or aluminium construction components are laid down in the European Regulation EU 305/2011, containing harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products and the harmonised standards of the EN 1090 series.
The Factory Production Control certificate as per the “2+ system” (FPC 2+), entitles you to affix the required ‘CE’ marking on your structural steel or aluminium construction components, and draw up a related declaration of performance.
