The Innoptus Solar Team took first prize in the Sasol Solar Challenge in South Africa last Friday.
After a nerve-wracking eight-day race under the South African sun, the Innoptus Solar Team reached the finish line first after 4,000 kilometres with a hefty lead of tens of kilometers ahead of their rival from Twente (NL).
Throughout the year, we worked with the Innoptus Solar Team, including implementing Digi_tags for parts inventory. 10 days ago, the race began.
Thanks to innovations such as battery cooling to keep the battery at an optimal temperature when climbing mountain passes and a rotating fin to sail on the Kalahari Desert crosswinds, the Infinite crossed the finish line in Cape Town first after 8 days with over 60 kilometres ahead of the team from Twente (NL).And as icing on the cake, the team also won gold in the European Solar Challenge in Belgium this weekend with the previous version of the solar car.
