Vinçotte helps you to increase the safety of the people in your building by means of a conformity check of the voice alarm systems (VAS)
While "conventional" fire alarm systems, equipped with sirens emitting an audible signal, are suitable in situations where the building's occupants are familiar with the building's layout and associated emergency procedures, the added value of voice alarm systems is more than proven. Thanks to the voice message, people panic less, because they clearly understand what to do in an emergency situation when evacuating the building.
Every new voice alarm system must undergo an initial inspection by an accredited organization, including measurements of the sound pressure level in each acoustic zone and of speech intelligibility (STIPA measurements).
As a result of the inspections and audit, you receive a conformity report stating that the system has been designed, installed, tested and used in accordance with the requirements of the Belgian standard series NBN S 21-111.
To ensure a high level of reliability and availability of the voice alarm system, on the one hand the components used must be certified in accordance with the applicable product standards and on the other hand the system must be designed, installed, tested and operated in accordance with the requirements of the Belgian standard series NBN S 21-111.
Each new voice alarm system must be subject to an initial inspection by an accredited organization, including measurements of the sound pressure level in each acoustic zone and of speech intelligibility (STIPA measurements).
Thereafter, the voice alarm systems should be checked periodically at least every 3 years.
